HOPE ON WHEELS
Elaina and Little G Jauregui have started a project they are calling “Hope on Wheels” to make cards for children at the Children’s Hospital. They are going to Children's Hospital June 29th to take these homemade "get well" and "feel better" cards to the children at the hospital. RMCM Children’s Church director, Nanette Knuth is going to have the children make some of the cards during Sunday School during the upcoming weeks.

Elaina really wants to make sure there are PLENTY of cards to go around – so if you and your kids want to make some cards at home that would be FANTASTIC! Elaina says that It should be simple - construction paper and markers/crayons, smiley faces and notes that say "Hope You Feel Better", "Put A Smile On Your Face", "Get Better Soon", "You Are Loved" and so on.

BBQ POTLUCK AFTER CHURCH THIS WEEK!
This Sunday, June 6th we are having a big BBQ potluck after church. Burgers & Buns will be provided and the grill will be fired up. If you want meat other than burgers feel free to bring it to throw on the grill. Please bring a side dish (salad, pasta, potatoes, veggies, chips & dip, dessert, drinks, etc.) to share. We always want to make sure there’s enough for everybody – even the guests who might not have known, or someone that wasn’t able to bring anything – So if you are able to bring a bunch, please bring a bunch!

THE ALLEN'S DEPARTURE FESTIVITIES
We are very sorry to see Jeff and Michelle Allen leave Gunnison, but we wish them the best of everything as they move into the next stage of God’s plan for them. Jeff and Michelle are having a send off party at the home of Boyd and Sharalee Pederson on Sunday, June 13th, from 4 to 6 pm. This is a BBQ pot-luck, so bring something to share, and come say your good-byes.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for some folks who would like to help keep the outside of the church beautiful this summer. If you have any skills in this area, or are willing to learn, please contact Karen at 641-0158.

LAKE SAN CRSITOBAL 5K/10K RACE
June 5, 2010
Proceeds from this race go to benefit Gunnison Country Partners!
Sharalee Pederson would like to invite everyone to do the Lake San Cristobal 5k/10k race on Saturday, June 5th. The great thing about this race is that it's not necessarily a race. You get shuttled up to the starting point of either a 5k or 10k downhill course. Then, you can run or walk, whatever. It is very family friendly, people pushing strollers etc.

So check it out. We would be meeting at the Pederson's at 6:45 am to caravan to Lake City.

Download registration form here. PDF file.

Pre-race registration is $20. Same day registration is $25.
Includes T-shirt and pancake breakfast.
Race categories include: 5K Run, 10K Run, and 5K Walk.

Sponsored by the Lake City/Hinsdale County Chamber of Commerce. Info: 970-944-2527 or email sweetpeas1@gmail.com
